New Villain!

New villain just dropped! Meet Atarah, the World Scourge. She is diabolical, chaotic, armed and dangerous, and she has a longer history with Smarg’s planet than you might think!

Atarah will make her grand debut in Smarg #2 and (spoiler) she will decidedly NOT be on the side of truth, justice, and a better tomorrow. Jesse absolutely crushed it on her design. I feel like she’s about to boot stomp me in the face, which is exactly in line with her character.

By way of update, the latest issue is well on its way to completion, and we expect to print in the coming weeks. Please be on the lookout for pre-order links! We have Zip Alegria returning for another variant, which will be a connecting image with his cover for Smarg #1. We also are lucky enough to have the one and only Tom Nguyen blessing a variant cover, too.

In another awesome update, local legend Dave Wheeler (aka Dave Wonder) has joined the Smarg creative team. He will be laying down the letters in Smarg #2. Jesse and I are excited/relieved/in a glass case of emotion that he is on board with us.

We are really, really looking forward to showing off the new project when it’s ready to hit shelves.
